One thing immediately became apparent when I began the capsule wardrobe experiment : almost every outfit I tend to wear is some form of shirt and pants.

I don't often wear dresses or skirts; and on special occasions I wear jumpsuits. I really like the way a jazzy pair of pants makes me feel, and I like switching the top to dress it up or down.

I found these embroidered beauties at General Store in SF. They remind me of something my mom would have worn. And paired with a button up and a tan hat, I feel like I'm going on a chic Safari. I don't hate it.
